Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA)

FCA support and assists families and caregivers through education, advocacy and services. In addition to providing training to technical assistance to California’s Caregiver Resource Centers, FCA hosts the National Center on Caregiving (NCC). The NCC serves as a central source of information on caregiving and long-term care issues and works to advance policies and programs for caregivers in every state in the country.

New Mexico’s four Area Agencies on Aging, or AAA’s, administer, plan and support community based services for individuals 60 and older, or age 55 and older in tribal programs. Most of the services coordinated through the AAA’s are provided at the local level.

Medicaid – Centennial Care Program

Centennial Care is the name of New Mexico’s Medicaid program. It assists elderly persons to remain living at home or within the community. This program allows certain family members to be hired and paid as the personal care provider.

Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) – New Mexico
